Christmas and New Year's Show

This week we celebrated farewell from 2013.
It was the first show that our BISZ children prepared for their parents and distinguished guests. Everybody was more than delighted with their performance, especially with the youngest ones.
Kindergarten “snowmen” were impressed with the audience and some of them even shared mixed emotions; tears and laughs.
Pupils from primary school were cowboys, dancers or “piano keys”, while the oldest students sang ABBA's “Happy New Year” for the end of the show.
The marvellous evening was concluded with spectacular firework!

Lounge room
Why fit in when you were born to stand out'... This is one of Dr. Seuss' classical quotes which can be seen up on the wall in our new school 'lounge room'. This latest addition which opened at the start of semester two has been a hit amongst our staff and students. The multi-purpose facility is being used for guided reading, playing games and free time.

Right before the new school year the Croatian weekly magazine Nacional introduced the three most influential private schools in Croatia. Both of our schools Kreativan Razvoj and the British International School of Zagreb had the honour of being mentioned.

Croatia's most popular weekly magazine Globus published an article this week on the necessity for a change in the Croatian national school curriculum. A huge part of this article consists of the thoughts and observations made by our Principal Martin-Tino Časl regarding the disadvantages of the Croatian curriculum in comparison with the British National Curriculum placing a special emphasis on our Cambridge program. As numerous times before our school is once again a pioneer of new ideas in this area.
