General food information
Published 24.09.2013.The students at British International School of Zagreb have full daily schedules and in order to provide them with the neccessary energy requirements, we take great care in choosing the most appropriate food for them. In accordance to meeting all the national and religious characteristics of our students, including the culture that they live in and in correspondance with parents, we are prepared to respect their religious and ethnic backgrounds through the food that is cooked and served.
Over the years, school meals have been prepared according to the needs that meet halal and kosher standards. We also take special care in preparing food for children who have particular health issues.

Lounge room
Why fit in when you were born to stand out'... This is one of Dr. Seuss' classical quotes which can be seen up on the wall in our new school 'lounge room'. This latest addition which opened at the start of semester two has been a hit amongst our staff and students. The multi-purpose facility is being used for guided reading, playing games and free time.

Croatia's most popular weekly magazine Globus published an article this week on the necessity for a change in the Croatian national school curriculum. A huge part of this article consists of the thoughts and observations made by our Principal Martin-Tino Časl regarding the disadvantages of the Croatian curriculum in comparison with the British National Curriculum placing a special emphasis on our Cambridge program. As numerous times before our school is once again a pioneer of new ideas in this area.
